Description
This is a mere 100 feet out of your vechile. This is a 60 foot open pit mine that was used for finding mica. The kids loved it and enjoy the finds. The kids or even adults love to find the chunks of mica that are quite clear and large. Good luck in your prospecting.

Always hike with plenty of water in the desert and keep an extra supply of water and food in your car. Let someone know when you leave and when you are to return.

The Trail
There really is not a trail from the vehicle. You simply get out and you are at the open pit mine.

To get to the mines you will need to be able to find the Staheli Farm in Washington as this is where I start your directions from. Head South past Staheli farm to the T-intersection at 3650 S. and Washington Fields Road. This is where you will start your odometer at zero. Follow the map from there. It's easy to follow.
